A fun, fast and inclusive alternative watersport

Underwater hockey is a unique team sport played on the bottom of the pool using fins, a mask, snorkel and a short stick to move a puck. No contact, no pressure, just strategy, movement and teamwork, and it is taking off in schools right across Aotearoa.

It is ideal for students who:

Are strong swimmers looking for variety
Enjoy Flippa ball or Water Polo but want something different
Thrive in friendly, mixed-age teams where everyone gets involved
Love building breath control, confidence and connection in the water
Want a welcoming community that is open to all genders
