School
Underwater Hockey

Underwater hockey is a fast, fun, and inclusive team sport played by students across Auckland. Each year, Auckland Underwater Hockey runs a dedicated secondary school league for Year 9–13 players, in partnership with College Sport Auckland (CSA). With multiple divisions for all experience levels and strong participation across the region, it's the perfect introduction to a lifetime of underwater hockey.

League Structure

The school league runs during Terms 2 & 3 each year and includes four competitive grades:
  • Junior Girls
  • Junior Open
  • Senior Girls
  • Senior Open
Games are played weekly across Auckland at WestWave, Manurewa, Glen Innes, and Mount Albert.
The match format is 6-a-side with 2 x 10 minutes halves and a 1 minute half time.
The season concludes with playoffs, and prizegiving in Term 3.
